A determined and dedicated full-stack PHP developer passionate in web applications and eCommerce. Seeking a developer position to apply their 7 years of industry experience and knowledge, and to further develop their skills in a challenging, progressive digital agency.

Skills

• Experienced Laravel developer, developing numerous web applications, plus experience with CodeIgnighter. Also has 7 years of WordPress and WooCommerce experience, developing customised eCommerce experiences tailored to a clients requirements.
• Knowledgeable working with REST, XML and SOAP APIs, examples including Stripe, PayPal, Xero and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
• Skilled with front end development, utilising the latest HTML5 and CSS technologies, and developing in Javascript, jQuery and Vue. Experienced with using the Bootstrap framework. Utilising the latest SEO and accessibility best practices.
• 10 years of Linux command line knowledge, using Linux both professionally and personally. Experience with managing Ubuntu, Debian and CentOS servers.

Projects

• Rewards platform allowing customers to purchase products using a pre-allocated balance or by credit/debit card. Developed using the Laravel framework and implementing Bootstrap, jQuery, Vue and Elasticsearch technologies.
• eCommerce website developed on WordPress and using the WooCommerce plugin. Custom integration with their accountancy and stock system, synchronising products and orders. Achieved over £150k in net sales during the year of 2020.
• B2B tyre supplier website developed in WordPress and using WooCommerce. Bespoke theme with heavily customised WooCommerce layouts. Generates specifications of the tyres, such as size, weather, EU labels etc, by parsing from a single string description.
• Collaborated with another digital agency to implement Xero integration in their client’s CodeIgnighter based application.
• Mentored another developer who developed a Laravel-based system for primary schools to track progress following recent government guidelines.

Lead Web Developer Benchmark Software – May 2017 – Present

The lead web developer, developing eCommerce solutions and web applications, many integrating with Benchmark’s accountancy software product.

• Development of web applications using Laravel and WordPress, plus integration with Benchmark’s Windows-based accountancy and stock control software.
• Development of eCommerce websites using WordPress and WooCommerce. Built using bespoke or pre-made themes and extended with custom-made plugins.
• Working with experienced .NET and Visual Basic developers to develop solutions with online and local components.
• Managing the Linux web servers and other services such as Cloudflare and Microsoft Office 365.
• Communicating with clients directly.
• Mentoring and training others in developing with web technologies.
